FAQ

What are your rates?

$125 per hour for the photoshoot day, (2 hour minimum), and $100 for every final retouched image selected. This pricing structure allows clients to manage their budget by only selecting the images that best suit their marketing needs.

How many hours does a photoshoot take?

Before booking, I ask clients to complete a brief questionnaire to better understand the scope of their project. Based on this information, I provide a time estimate to help set realistic expectations for the hourly charges.

How many images/rooms are captured during a shoot day?

A full day interior photoshoot typically yields between 20 to 30 images, depending on the complexity of the project. However, the number of rooms captured is customized to meet each client’s specific needs. For example, one client might be looking for 10 images focused on a single kitchen, while another may need 10 images covering an entire home. The pre-booking questionnaire is designed to guide this tailored approach

What happens after the shoot?

After the shoot, an invoice for the photoshoot time ($125/hour) will be emailed and is due within 7 days. Within 2 to 3 weeks, clients receive a gallery of fully retouched images. At that time, they can choose and license the images that best suit their needs, at $100 per image.

What is an image license?

When clients purchase images from a shoot, they are not buying the images themselves. Instead, they're buying a license to use the images in specific ways related to their business. While I retain ownership/copyright of the original work, the license grants clients the right to use the images for the following purposes:

•Client controlled websites

•Client controlled social media accounts

•Online advertisements/marketing by the Client

•Direct emails to the Client’s customers or potential customers

•Print marketing materials created by the Client

•All submissions made by the client for contests and awards.

Can I share images with 3rd parties?

While clients may need to share digital files for the marketing purposes outlined above (e.g. with a printer or social media management company), the images cannot be shared with independent businesses (e.g. contractors, suppliers, or sub-trades) for use in their own marketing efforts. If third parties wish to use the images from the shoot to promote their businesses, I’m more than happy to provide them with a separate image gallery where they can purchase a license to do so.

Can I co-commission a photoshoot with another business?

If clients would like to arrange in advance to co-commission a shoot with a builder or a cabinet maker for example, the shoot day hours (charged at $125/hr) can be split between those parties. When it comes to purchasing image licenses, each co-commissioner would be provided with their own image gallery to purchase whichever images suit their own marketing needs at $100/image.

Can I provide the images to magazines for publication?

Submissions of images for editorial use, such as articles and features in online or print publications, are permitted. However, all such submissions must be arranged in coordination with Rebecca Frick Photography to ensure proper image licensing is granted to the publication, and to take advantage of any potential fees offered by the publication. To maintain quality and licensing standards, all image delivery for editorial submissions or use must be facilitated directly by Rebecca Frick Photography.

What happens if I have to cancel my shoot?

Cancellations are fine as long as they occur with at least two weeks notice. Any cancellations that are initiated with less than two week notice will be subject to a fee of $250, whether the shoot is rescheduled or not.
